By default, TraceMyIP asks only the following information in order to create an account
- User email address
- User name
- The domain name of the website that needs to be monitored
When a TraceMyIP user subscribes for a premium subscription, payment information, including payment method data is submitted to a third-party payment network in order to process a payment. This is a common practice of submitting payments on the Internet as utilized by all website services and merchandise outlets that sell products sold on the Internet.
The payment networks such as PayPal are independent entities that have their own privacy policies and are not affiliated with TraceMyIP service. In the example of PayPal, when a payment is submitted, TraceMyIP does not receive any information on the payment method. The payments and payment user information are solely processed by PayPal. When a payment is processed, PayPal sends an internal notification to TraceMyIP in order to activate, renew, continue, or cancel a subscription.
